‘Saindhav,’ an exhilarating action thriller directed by Sailesh Kolanu, has taken the cinematic stage by storm. The film boasts a star-studded cast featuring Victory Venkatesh, Arya, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, and Andrea Jeremiah in pivotal roles. With a compelling storyline and an ensemble of talented actors, ‘Saindhav’ promises an adrenaline-pumping cinematic experience.
Tollywood sensation Venkatesh Daggubati marked his much-anticipated comeback to the big screens with the Sailesh Kolanu-directed film, ‘Saindhav.’ The movie hit theaters on January 13, coinciding with the festive weekend of Sankranti. However, despite captivating his loyal fan base, ‘Saindhav’ fell short of widespread acclaim and managed to gross only Rs. 15 crore at the box office within the initial two weeks of its release.
Story
Once enshrouded in the shadows of a dark underworld, Saindhav, portrayed by Venkatesh, was a man who had walked the perilous path of drugs and guns. However, a defining moment prompted him to leave the mafia business behind and embrace a new life as a crane operator at the Indraprastha port.
His decision to step away from the criminal world was rooted in a desire for redemption and a chance at a better life for himself and, more importantly, his daughter, Gayatri. Having lost his wife and now taking care of Gayatri, who suffered from spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), Saindhav found a renewed purpose in being a responsible father.
As Saindhav embraced his new life, the complexities of his past still lingered. Mano, played by Getup Srinu, was estranged from her husband, adding an intricate layer to the narrative. Saindhav, inadvertently intertwined in their affairs, found himself at a crossroads where the shadows of his past threatened to resurface.
The turning point in the story occurred when Gayatri’s deteriorating health demanded a costly treatment that Saindhav could ill-afford. Faced with the daunting challenge of arranging 17 crores rupees for her treatment, he reluctantly entered into a contract with Michael, portrayed by Jishu Sengupta, to eliminate two adversaries – Vishwamitra (Mukesh Rishi) and Vikas Malik (Nawazuddin Siddiqui).
The intricacies of why Saindhav left the mafia business, the reasons behind Mano’s estrangement, and how Saindhav became entangled in their affairs gradually unfolded, revealing a web of relationships, betrayals, and unforeseen connections.
Vishwamitra, Michael, and Vikas Malik, former associates turned adversaries in the criminal world, held grudges and scores to settle, creating a volatile backdrop for Saindhav’s moral dilemma. As the plot thickened, decisions had to be made, and alliances forged to navigate the dangerous terrain of crime, loyalty, and personal redemption.
Amidst the unfolding drama, Saindhav navigated the ethical minefield of his choices, driven solely by the desperate need to save his daughter. Did Vikas and Vishwamitra confront Michael? Did Saindhav manage to secure the funds for Gayatri’s treatment in time? And in the face of looming danger, did Vikas and Vishwamitra retaliate against the unexpected threat?
These questions formed the heart of the gripping narrative in ‘Saindhav,’ a tale of redemption, sacrifice, and the unrelenting pursuit of a second chance at life against the backdrop of a dark and unforgiving underworld.
